DIRECTOR FINANCE

Based out of Delhi and hailing from a family - parented by a humble mason father and a house wife mother, I always dreamt big. After I finished my schooling, I made it to the most prestigious Shree Ram College of Commerce of Delhi to pursue my B.Com. (Hons.) which ultimately guided my destiny to become a professionally qualified Cost Accountant (ICWA). I got first break in my professional journey with M/s. Peerless General Finance. After serving there for approx. two years, I joined NBCC (India) Ltd. as an Accounts Officer in the year 1990. Throughout my professional pursuit in the organization more than 33 years of rich experience of working in different capacities in all the areas of Accounts and Finance, I was deeply committed to all my responsibilities in my domain and beyond, eventually rising to the position of Executive Director (Finance) in October’2016. As Executive Director heading the Department of Corporate Finance. I spearheaded the functioning of Team Finance with responsibilities of Implementation of ERP, Treasury Management, Corporate Accounts & Audit, Acquisitions & Mergers, Investor Relations, IPO Management etc. It is also to my credit that in the family of NBCC, I have always remained actively involved in matters that matter most to the welfare of employees and more particularly to women employees as I chaired many such internal committees. The ecstatic moment and a remarkable break came in my professional journey when the Government of India selected and appointed me as Director (Finance) of NBCC in August’2019, assigning me the responsibility to oversee the total financial management of the Company. Today, as I hold the position of Director (Finance) of the Navratna NBCC and also performing my additional responsibility as Chairperson of NBCC Services Ltd. (NSL) and Director of Real Estate Development and Construction Corporation of Rajasthan Ltd. (REDCC), a wholly owned Subsidiary and JV Company of NBCC respectively. Beholding to hold it, I find myself making a major stride towards fulfilling my professional aspiration that I always dream of. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS : • Implementation of ERP : The ERP system was developed and implemented successfully under my leadership and active involvement. It resulted in transformation of manual system to digital platform in the company. It created a very conducive and transparent atmosphere among all the stakeholders. • Investor Relations My successful management of investors has created and maintained the environment of positivity among Investors and is constantly evident in the Company's stock trading in the market and its share price growth. • Acquisitions & Merger : - Hindustan Steelworks Construction Ltd. - HSCL Directly dealt with appraisal, valuation and due diligence of acquisition of HSCL by NBCC. Obtained the regulatory approval from CCI by her without appointing any outside professional agency. - Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation - HSCC Played an active role in NBCC's acquisition of 100% equity shareholding of HSCC which ultimately became wholly owned subsidiary of NBCC in 24th December, 2018. • FINANCE & ACCOUNTS MANUAL I undertaken the initiative to have an overall revision of the Finance and Accounts Manual of the company in the line of the recent changes in the law of land to incorporate the working under Ind AS and GST regime. It was last introduced in the year 1990, since then it stood pending for revision which was successfully executed. The Finance Manual revision provides as a key solution to Finance employees and strengthened the strategic working in the organization while combining with the overall computerization though ERP. It is very simple and user friendly. • HAND BOOK FOR SUBSIDIARY I undertaken an initiative to come out with a handbook on the overall guidance to the existing and newly required subsidiaries. In the path to align the operational and accounting activities of the existing subsidiaries and the newly acquired subsidiaries, the guidance so provided, proves to be a landmark. It not only being the synergy in operations but also brought various newly acquired subsidiaries like HSCL and HSCC under the same strategic umbrella of NBCC. These meetings are conducted regularly in which variety of issues are being discussed for systematic improvement and knowledge sharing across Finance Divisions. Team Building and Leadership efforts Involved in development of future global leaders for the organisation. In a nutshell, when a leader sets a trusting tone in a group, members are more willing to help each other and exert extra effort for one another, which further increase Trust. Trust is a primary attribute associated with Leadership; breaking it can have serious adverse effects on a group's performance. I work with this vision and commitment to build teams through which people accomplish goals as they work collaboratively.
